What we collect and why

• Contact form: your name, email address, subject and message, sent to us by email so that we can reply. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your request. We keep your message for as long as needed to handle it, and for 3 years at most.
• Browsing and security: IP address, browser, pages requested, date and time, used to run the site and protect it against attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure. Kept only as long as needed to protect the site.

This site has no shop, no analytics and no advertising. We never sell or rent your data. Purchases are made on our French site, distillerie-balthazar.fr, which has its own privacy policy.

Who receives your data

• Website hosting: alwaysdata (Paris, France), through Bazalt (Lyon, France).
• Email: OVH (Roubaix, France), which hosts our mailbox.
• Site security: the Wordfence plugin, published by Defiant (United States), which may send Defiant the IP address of an attack attempt.
• Fonts and icons: Adobe Fonts (Adobe, United States) and Font Awesome (Fonticons, United States). To display the site’s fonts and icons, your browser downloads them from these providers, which receive your IP address and the address of the page. No cookie is set.

Transfers to the United States are covered by the safeguards of the General Data Protection Regulation (European Commission adequacy decision for companies certified under the Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses).

Cookies

The only cookie this site sets for visitors is balthazar_majeur, which remembers for 30 days your answer to the age question. It is strictly necessary and does not require consent, which is why there is no cookie banner. Logging in to the administration area sets WordPress and Wordfence security cookies, for site managers only.

Your rights

You may ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a common format, and give instructions about what happens to it after your death.
